Poetry and Spoken Word

I perform at various venues, which have included theatres, arts festivals and Glastonbury Poet's Tent.

The signature poem below is one I've performed often, including as a member of female multi-ethnic group Uncommon Denominator.

STORYTELLER

If I could Scherherazade

my way into you.Through

each line, web and weave

into your mind,

as you read,

along and

between -

then ....

If I could symbolise,

allegorize, moralise,

the feeling within 

the fantasy; each

slayed dragon,

a reason to shed 

the armour -

then ....

If I could for just 1001 nights,

lock you in my cave of words.

Then genii you out, Sinbad

you across my sea, roll you

 in a magic carpet,

whispering,

‘Open sesame’ -

then ....

you’d come back

again and again and again ….
