About Me

My writing includes drama, plus poetry which I perform, and talks, workshops, including playwriting courses at University of York's Centre for Lifelong Learning (have MA in Creative Writing, distinction awarded).  

My play About Chocolate is at Edinburgh Fringe 16-21 Aug 4pm Theatre 3 Surgeons' Hall Venue 53 Nicholson Street £7/5, performed by Irene Lofthouse, directed by Ray Brown and presented by Sweet Dreams Prod.

Doublecross co-written with Michael Yates and directed by Colin Lewisohn will be staged by ActONE at Carriageworks Studio, Leeds 17/18 Sept and Otley Courthouse on 24 Sept.

Several non-fiction books/articles have been published, linked to my work as a lawyer. The newly-expanded 4th edition is out of my Writer's Guide to Copyright, Contract and Law ('an invaluable guide' - Writing Magazine).

Born a 'Leeds lass', I'm based around North and West Yorkshire. I serve on the Authors North committee of the Society of Authors, plus as 'ambassador' for the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, and am a long-standing member of Script Yorkshire.
